A city of northern Morocco with a population
of 669,680 (2004 census). It lies on the North African
coast at the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar
where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic Ocean off
Cape Spartel.

Tangier is the second industrial center of Morocco
after Casablanca.

resorts have been increasing with projects funded
by foreign investments. Real estate and construction
companies have been investing heavily in touristic
infrastructures
Things to See & Do
Beaches
The beaches are long and wide in Tangier. There are
camel rides available alng the beaches, windsurfing
and football . There are a number of bars to choose
from along the beach side.
Place de France
Place de France is a small French-looking square
right in the middle of the Ville Nouvelle with many
friendly, inviting street cafè's.
The Grand Socco Market
Street cafe's and city life. The market sells everything
from arts and crafts, fruit and vegetables to plain
old junk.
The Mendoubia Gardens
This garden contains a fascinating banyan tree that's
over 800 years old.
The Caves of Hercules
Situated 14km west of Tangier in the Cap Spartel
area. It is a place of great beauty and archeological
significance.
Cuisine & Nightlife
Tangier's nightlife is not really something
to get excited about, although there are a few good
bars and disco's close to the sea front. Ville Nouvelle
is the place for exciting food.
